Working with organisations that care for the environment
Leadertree Consulting seeks to work across sectors making a real difference in tackling the climate and biodiversity crises, protecting the environment and finding cleaner ways of living. We have a special focus on Nature Finance, Conservation Charities, Forestry, Landowners & Agriculture, and Clean Tech & Renewable Energy.

Every organisation faces unique challenges in the nature space. You might be a landowner trying to navigate and forge new partnerships in the fast-evolving nature finance market. You might be an established organisation striving to expand your work further, innovate for change or improve how you work to meet increased demand. Or you might be a young company seeking to launch a new product or develop your client relationships. But you’re already busy. You could really use the help of an expert who has done it all before but already understands nature - this is where we can help.

Green Finance
Natural capital finance is vital in unlocking the private investment so badly needed to address the dual climate and biodiversity crises. Thankfully it is fast heading out of the early adopter phase with growing global leadership and support, and the UK is uniquely positioned to showcase how it can be done. But creating a compelling 'product' and achieving investment readiness is no mean feat, and requires huge leaps of faith and understanding between conservation and finance to succeed.
Conservation Charities
With awareness of the importance of environmental and wildlife protection higher than ever, support for nature has never been greater. The challenge is how to make the most of this whilst remaining genuine to your cause. The opportunity to secure new members, major donors, legacies and corporate partners and fundraise through new channels like nature-based investment requires specialist skill and knowledge to maximise.
Forestry
Responsible forestry provides the ultimate sustainable products - timber and paper - that lock up carbon as they grow. With just 13% woodland cover in the UK, wide acknowledgement of the need to plant more trees and stretching new Government targets, the UK forestry market has exciting potential for growth and investment, but has much to do to overcome challenges such as professional skill shortages, tree supply issues, pest and disease, and an underdeveloped wood processing sector.
Landowners & Agriculture
Landowners face many competing expectations and challenges, not least of which are climate change and biodiversity loss. The rural landscape is changing fast and landowners are striving to become truly sustainable, as they recognises their actions play a vital role in the future of the UK environment on which we all depend. With the rise of regenerative agriculture and wider nature-based opportunities, there is a growing appreciation of the need to balance the needs of people with profitable food production and nature conservation.
Clean Tech & Renewable Energy
The race to net-zero is well and truly on, and technology has a huge role to play in harnessing the power of nature to help us transition to a sustainable way of living. From transitioning our domestic energy market to be fully renewable, to inventing an anaerobic digester to convert natural waste to gas that can work on even the smallest farm, green technology companies and innovators need to market and manage themselves effectively to succeed and reap the benefits for us all.
